Haleem

Haleem...

Ingredients:

Haleem ( Shan Haleem Mix )
Mutton cubes 500 grm
Yogurt  1/2 cup
Fried onion 1 cup
Ginger Garlic pst 1 tbsp
Salt
Mint and coriander leaves
Ghee 4 tbsp 
Oil 2 tbsp



Procedure:

Soak the broken wheat and dals in 2 cups of water for 3-4 hours. After 3-4 hrs later drain the broken wheat and the dals.

Put mutton cubes in a bowl. Add yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, salt and mint leaves, fried onions ( beresta)1/2 Haleem spices and mix well and set aside to marinate for 1 hour

Heat 2 tablespoons ghee and 2 tbsp oil in a pressure cooker. Add broken wheat and dals mix well and cook for 5 minutes. 

Add marinated mutton cubes and mix well. Add water and mix, cover and cook under pressure till the pressure is released for 7-8 times.

Add remaining ghee and mix. Add fried onions and remaining Haleem  masala mix and cook for 5-10 minutes.


Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with fried onions and mint or coriander  leaves and serve hot.
